The corporation is 100% black female owned and managed. Khazimla Communications is wholly in support of BEE and Youth Development since the founding member is young, African and a woman.
PHOZISA MKELE | Public Relations Consultant
Phozisa owns her own Public Relations consulting firm; Khazimla Communications which she started in 2007 and became operational on a fulltime time basis in May 2014. Her experience lies in varied sectors including, the public sector, hospitality, academic and agency environment. She has experience is in communication strategy development, content development, media relations, events management and digital media strategy development.
Phozisa has a Corporate Communication degree from the University of Johannesburg and two Honours degrees from Wits in Journalism and English Literature; Creative Writing. In her previous positions she has worked as PR Manager for Regenesys Business where she managed two PR agencies and a team of four. Here she conceptualized strategies for campaigns, managed high profile events and produced content for the business school. At Sun International she worked as Head of Events and Entertainment for the Group, with a strong focus toward profiling the Sun City resort domestically and within the African continent. Phozisa has 3 years agency experience having worked for Magna-Carta on the Eskom account with expertise in crisis communication and reputation management.
Since Phozisa started her consultancy business she has worked on content production for SALGA and the City of Jo'burg. She has also consulted on publicity campaign for SAMRO’s Wawela Music Awards in 2014 and 2015. The firm has also provided media profiling and social media strategy development for the Media Development and Diversity Agency and three boutiques at the Forest Hill City Mall in Centurion, namely Nouveau Baby, Skotch Boutique and Zoe Italian Collezione. Phozisa also freelances as a writer for print and online publications. During her spare time Phozisa helps with a school feeding programme twice a week for children in disadvantaged communities with the Rivers Foundation.
